Birth Doula Support

Birth Doula Services

As your Birth Doulas we will:

  • Meet with you and your support people prenatally to discuss and create your birth intentions.

  • Help educate you on your options, common procedures and policies at your birthing facility, and best practices for self care during your pregnancy.

  • Serve as a physical support during your labor with pain management and comfort techniques such as movement, positioning, and basic body work. 

  • Work with you and your support team in making decisions during labor that both support the health and safety of you and your baby as well as stay closely aligned with your birth preferences. 

  • Visit with you at home during the early postpartum time period to offer emotional, logistical, physical, and practical support with your healing.

  • Connect you with the most skilled professionals in the area for any additional support you may need or benefit from during pregnancy, birth and labor, and postpartum. 

  • If desired, take photos of your labor and birth experience for an added fee. ​​

Included in our  BeHeld Birth Doula Package:

  • Infant CPR + Choking Class with Haley

  • Attendance at one Prenatal Yoga Class with Jessica​​​​

  • 3 prenatal meetings

    • Including support writing your birth preferences sheet​

  • 1 post-birth meeting

  • Attendance at your birth

  • Comprehensive phone, text, and email support throughout pregnancy and the early postpartum

  • Referrals to local trusted practitioners for support pre and post birth​​​

Pricing for the BeHeld Birth Doula Package:

$2900 per birth in Boulder County.

  • Optional Birth Photography Add-On to the BEHELD Package $500

  • Additional specialized meeting (description below) $175

PP Doula Support

Postpartum Doula Support

Description of Services

A Postpartum Doula will come to the home to care for the mother during her physical recovery and emotional transition after childbirth.

 

This includes a wide range of services offered such as:​

  • Breastfeeding support

  • Care for baby while mom is napping, showering, resting, providing sibling care

  • Education in basic infant care and infant sleep

  • Supporting in household management tasks (preparing meals, food prep, organization, laundry etc.) 

  • Overall being an extra set of trained, caring, supportive hands as the family as a whole adjusts to having the a baby at home

 

Additionally, we are trained to know when things are not progressing normally and how to utilize resources and suggest referrals for help when appropriate. We have a deep respect for the family structure and are skilled in providing information and help in a way that empowers the new parents to care for their own baby while at the same time bringing in helpful skills as an additional care provider. 

 

Pricing:

Rates are $50/hr​ for daytime hours, $55/hr for nighttime hours

​

Additional fee required for families outside of Boulder County.

You can hire us hourly or build a custom package to help you plan, discuss, learn, and prepare. Whether for birth, the postpartum, or anything related. We are here to help you and your family thrive.

Our most popular Doula Consulting Services are:

  • Meeting with Jessica: Physical Body Assessment + Movement Program Design​

  • Meeting with Haley: Birth Intentions, Nervous System Preparation + Mindset 

​

Topics can include:

  • Prenatal Birth Planning 

  • Prenatal Postpartum Planning

  • Everything but the Birth: a birth doula through pregnancy leading up to birth with all of the support except attendance at the birth

  • Birth Education and Labor Prep: sessions focused on education and preparation for labor and birth

  • Resource strategizing: assessing what you need in pregnancy and/or the postpartum, how to get support and from which practitioners

  • So much more!

Pricing dependent on package purchased.

Hourly rate is $150

Specialized Sessions are $175

We strongly believe that every birthing person desiring the support of a Doula should have that support. We also believe that Doula care is an investment into your experience and birth satisfaction. We are happy to set up payment plans and occasionally have the ability to work with a client on a sliding scale or we will connect you with a doula who can; finances should not be a barrier to your access of birth support. ​
